Rent Como Lake (lessor) rents to the customer (customer) the vehicle indicated on the front of this rental letter (vehicle) under the agreements and conditions set out below:
Art. 1 - The minimum age for renting scooters and mopeds is 18 years. For children under the age of 18, the consent of a parent who assumes responsibility is required.
Art. 2 - The rental begins on the day and time of delivery of the vehicle to the Customer indicated on the front of this rental letter and ends on the day and time of return of the vehicle to Rent Como Lake. The vehicle is delivered in perfect conditions with the exception of what is stated on the front of this letter, the Customer undertakes to return it in the same conditions in which it was delivered, except for normal wear and tear due to rental, on the day and time indicated in this rental letter. If the customer wishes to change the terms of the return (date, place, time) he must obtain prior consent from Rent Como Lake by making a request to the latter at least 24 hours before the date established for the return.
Art. 3 - The vehicle must be driven exclusively by the Customer, or by a person communicated at the time of the contract, except in the cases provided for by the art. 1; upon signing, the Customer must demonstrate that he is in possession of a regular driving license which enables him to drive the vehicle which cannot be transferred to other people. The Customer expressly declares to be responsible for the actions and omissions of anyone driving the vehicle, unless this depends on illicit acts which cannot be prevented by the Customer.
Art. 4 - The vehicle cannot be driven by people who are drunk or unconscious or under the influence of alcohol or drugs or who are in psychophysical conditions in conflict with the rules of the highway code, it cannot be used for illicit purposes, for speed races, for the transport of passengers for a fee and will not be able to leave Italian territory.
Art. 5 - The Customer and any other person authorized to drive are guaranteed by RCA insurance coverage for a maximum of €6,000,000.00, with an excess paid by the customer of €250.00.
Art. 6 - The Customer will in any case be responsible for damage caused by the vehicle due to improper use, as well as for theft, for failure to return the keys or for any other use in violation of laws and regulations:
The Customer is not guaranteed by insurance coverage :
a) for damages resulting from Rent Como Lake for the immobilization of the vehicle to carry out repairs due to faults of the Customer;
b) for costs incurred by Rent Como Lake
for transport of the vehicle by tow truck unless insurance coverage is activated and/or for its repair;
c) for damage affecting the driver, objects and luggage transported in the vehicle;
d) for damage caused in any way to the chassis , wheels, paint, mirrors, top case.
Art. 7 - In the event of an accident the customer is required to give a

notification of the accident by telephone and in writing within 12 hours of the accident by completing the CID form and having the investigations carried out by the competent authorities.
Art. 8 - In the event of a breakdown or accident, it is absolutely forbidden to have unauthorized personnel intervene Rent Como Lake.
Art. 9 - Payment for the rental must be made in advance, credit cards are accepted. In the event of a change in the duration, the current rate for the extension will be due.
Art. 10 - The vehicle is delivered with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of fuel, the Customer will be charged €20.00 for the service plus the cost of fuel.
Art. 11 - All vehicles must be returned on the pre-established day and at the pre-established time reported on the front of this letter, under penalty of payment of an additional day of rental.
Art. 12 - In the event of loss of the vehicle keys, the customer will have to reimburse an amount equal to €150.00 in addition to the costs foreseen for any recovery, while in the event that the documents or license plate are lost the amount to be reimbursed is of €250.00.
Art. 13 - The security deposit of €400.00 is mandatory. In the event that upon returning the vehicle, damage is found to the vehicle itself, this deposit will be retained by Rent Como Lake
in account of the damages suffered, without prejudice to the possibility of compensating for further damages. Responsibility for damages is totally borne by the customer.
Art. 14 - The deposit must be guaranteed by credit card.
Art.15 - For any dispute arising from and/or connected with the rental of the vehicle, the Court of Como will have exclusive jurisdiction.
Art. 16 - In case of conflict in the interpretation of the two versions of this letter, the Italian version will prevail over the one in other languages.
Art. 17 - Personal data will be used only and exclusively for purposes connected to the contract and may be provided to third parties only for purposes connected to the contract itself (L.196/2003).
